Diet Plans I've Tried

Atkins Diet, officially called the Atkins Nutritional Approach, is a low-carbohydrate diet promoted by Robert Atkins from a research paper he read in the Journal of the American Medical Association published by Dr. Alfred W. Pennington, titled "WEIGHT REDUCTION", published in 1958.

Atkins used the study to resolve his own overweight condition. He later popularized the method in a series of books, starting with Dr. Atkins' Diet Revolution in 1972. In his second book, Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution(2002), he modified parts of the diet but did not alter the original concepts. The most recent version of the diet which incorporates the most recent advances in science was authored by Dr. Eric C. Westman, M.D.; Dr. Stephen D. Phinney, M.D. and Dr. Jeff S. Volek, Ph.D.

The New Atkins for a New You (2010) is based upon a broad array of information gained over the last decade not covered in previous editions, including nutrient-rich foods. The New Atkins for a New You Cookbook was released in 2011 by Colette Heimowitz to provide dieters with simple, low-carb recipes.

Master Cleanse is a modified juice fast that permits no food, substituting tea and lemonade made with maple syrup and cayenne pepper. Proponents claim that the diet detoxifies the body and removes excess fat. There is no scientific evidence that the diet removes any toxins, or that it achieves anything beyond temporary weight loss. Though unlikely to be harmful over the short term it can be harmful over the long term. Short term side effects include fatigue, nausea, dizziness, and dehydration, while long term harm includes loss of muscle mass

The  Naked Juice Diet  is type of Juice Fast. The only  difference between the Naked Juice Diet and a Normal Juice Diet is the type of juice you use. If you choose to do a processed juice diet you will loose weight BUT If you use fresh vegetable juice you will dramatically improve your skin, hair, nails, energy, immune system!
Whats the point in getting slimmer but not improving other aspects of your biology to make you feel better.

The South Beach Diet is a diet plan designed by cardiologist Arthur Agatston and dietician Marie Almon as an alternative to low-fat approaches such as the Ornish Diet and the Pritikin Diet advocated by the American Heart Association in the 1980s.[citation needed] Although the original purpose of the diet was to prevent heart disease in Dr. Agatston's own patients, in the early 2000s, word of the diet spread and quickly gained popularity as a means to lose weight.[1]

The term "South Beach Diet" is a trademark of South Beach Diet Trademark Limited Partnership.[2] A book, The South Beach Diet, was published by Rodale Books.
